Privacy Notice
How your personal information is collected, used and stored.
Who Is Responsible for Your Information
Esther Benchabbat, trading as Be In Touch Psychotherapy, is the data controller for the information described in this notice.
The easiest way to reach her about anything on this page is by email or phone, using the details on the contact page.
Information Collected Through This Website
If you use the contact form, the information you enter is sent directly to Esther’s email address. It is not stored by this website, and there is no database behind it.
The form deliberately does not ask for detailed information about health or personal circumstances. Please keep your message brief; anything sensitive is better discussed on the phone.
This website sets no cookies and does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Information Collected if You Become a Client
This notice covers the website only. If you go on to work with Esther, the information she collects, how it is used and how long it is kept are set out in the intake and contract paperwork you are given before therapy begins.
That is deliberate: those documents are where the detail belongs, and they are given to you directly rather than left on a web page.
How Long Information Is Kept
An enquiry sent through this website arrives as an email and is kept in Esther’s email account. If the enquiry does not lead to therapy, it is deleted once it is no longer needed.
If you become a client, the retention period for your records is set out in the paperwork you are given at the start of the work.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information held about you, to ask for it to be corrected, and in some circumstances to ask for it to be deleted. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Contacting Esther About Your Information
