About Me
Integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist, working in NW London and online.
My name is Esther Benchabbat, and I am an integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist. I trained at Terapia in London and hold a Master of Arts in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling, awarded by Middlesex University.
I have worked therapeutically with children, adolescents and their families, and I also work with adults. I have practised in a variety of settings, including schools, hospital schools and private practice.
I have worked multiculturally with a diverse client base of varied ethnicities, and I try to remain sensitive to the cultural norms each family brings.

Where I Work

An Integrative Approach
As an integrative psychotherapist I draw on a virtual toolbox of different modalities, choosing what suits a client at each stage of their therapeutic journey rather than fitting everyone to one method.
Person-centred therapy · Psychodynamic therapy · Neuroscience · Behavioural therapy, such as CBT
I connect with children not only through talking but through play, art, music, drama and sand tray therapy. For a child who cannot yet name a feeling, these are often the most direct route to it.
Neurodiversity
“Accessing their world, and being in the world with them.”
I have extensive experience working with children with neurodiversity. I support therapeutic progress by entering their world and being in it with them, which is different from most of their interactions in a neurotypical environment.
